    Absolutely not, for one thing qualifying for the World Cup could become less prestigious because around one-third of FIFA’s member nations would participate!

    I like the idea of having more countries able to participate and giving an opportunity-Cape Verde was a great example in this past World Cup. However, the burden on professional players and the number of games they now play is taking its toll. It’s important the best players in the world have time to recover allowing us spectators to see them at their best. Furthermore adding more “weak” teams is likely to result in less entertaining games.
